To Click A Mockingbird is a Twine game prototype that I created for my first game studies class in 2015. Since then, if I have been able to turn a school project into something to do with games, I have. It's been a wild ride to dig up old projects like this and so much as changed since those early days. Huge thanks to Trent University's Liam Mitchell for getting me started. 

The idea behind this game was to take the "click-to-shoot" mechanic typically found in FPS games and translate it into an environment where visuals are made entirely out of text. I was interested in how players responded when a game has a familiar mechanic, but uses the suggestion of violence rather than photorealistic environments and animations. 

Levels include a target range that changes each time it is revisited, a destructible "room,"  and a parody of Nintendo's Duck Hunt for NES — all delivered by a mysterious drill sergeant of a narrator.
